SHE'S HERE

Can you believe it, she's finally here!......We left the hotel about 1:15, arrived at the orphanage, met with the Director, he was great, smiling and friendly. After a brief meeting with the Director it was on to meet the babies. We were led into a small room and before we were all there, they started bringing the babies in. And there she was, quiet and solemn being held by a nanny. She didn't really want too much to do with me, but she did let me hold her. Within 10 or 15 minutes they were having us change the girls clothes, then we were off to an Official Office for the G&R Ceremony. We signed some papers, 2 of the parents in my group read a statement in Vietnamese about how we would loving take care of the children. The officials then said a few words, then we were on our way again. We were back here a bit after 6. Macy slept most of the way home. And Hey, I was a bit teary at times, but I surprised myself, I did not cry. Unfortunately we were not able to tour the orphanage or see any other babies. We had hoped to be able to snap a few pictures of the other babies.
Macy is amazing...............She laughs at our antics, crawls all over the place, tries to feed herself and will crawl over to the coffee table and pull herself up to a stand. She looks solemn until you play with her, then she brightens right up.
She likes her bottle piping hot, and it took a few tries for her convince us, she really likes it that hot.
She is sleeping now, so we are going to try to get some sleep.
