Touristy Things

Once we get all the paperwork organized we are hoping to see a bit more of Northern Vietnam. Some might be reluctant to travel with little ones, but we think, what the heck, there are 2 of us and we are here in Vietnam, so if we can, we want to see some of the country. I felt the same way when I was in China, it is amazing to be so far from home, in a country we have only heard about. The history is everywhere, the people are friendly and helpful and there is so much to see and experience. We hope go to HaLong Bay and sleep on a Junk, we are planning a tour to see more of Hanoi and we are planning on moving to a hotel in the Old Quarter, you know, stay closer to the locals, and the narrow inter twining alleys they call streets. And of course, that is where the best shopping bargains are.

You might want to consider checking out of the A. but leaving most of your luggage with one of the other families, go overnight to Halong Bay (at least 1 night, it is awesome) and then checking in to another hotel on your return. This plan worked well for us.

It would have been nice to have another adoptive family on the junk with us...

Better get going cause your gonna have the go ahead to come home early for sure!

Hi there!

She is BEAUTIFUL.

Saw your note about moving to the Old Quarter. We did a return trip to Viet Nam a year ago (our daughter was 7 at the time) and we spent out Hanoi time in a hotel in the heart of the Old Quarter that we loved. Hotel Paradise - near Hang Ma. If you email me I'll send the link - heck I'll look it up.

Mere is the link - I hope. We loved it. Clean and comfortable. And the staff were great. Walking distance to most things.
